Just Shut Up and Be Thankful

Playgroups, birthday parties, ranches, trick or treating, broken deep freezers,  territorial dominance, sick grandmothers, pastor’s wives, equal time, driving, sick kids, dings on faces, criticism of parenting, distant friends.

In spite of everything,  I’m alive. I’m healthy. My children and the hubby are healthy.  We have a nice home, money to pay the bills, food to eat, and Netflix to watch. These are the things that truly matter.

The rest is a part of life we all get caught up in. It takes away from our priorities and sucks the happy right out of life. Don’t let it. Fight the negativity and all the nonsense that goes with it.

Have a glass or bottle of wine. Put your feet up, and be thankful.

  1. And God — we need God to guide us through this maze called life. We need time to reflect on our blessings — family is big with me. And so I am making dressing for the feast tomorrow and I bought a pie. It is ok to buy a pie and not worry about baking one from scratch. And then there is church tonight with pie afterwards. I am reading the lessons and my sweetheart is ushering. I just read the church newsletter that we are scheduled to do the same for Dec. 24. PEOPLE KNOW WE ARE NOT THERE BUT IN Fbg. BUT I HAVE TO FIND A SUB FOR US BOTH. AND I FEEL GUILTY. WHEN DOES IT STOP?
